What’s Your Favorite Metal Bands? Here’s My Top 5

I swear. Dying Fetus is still the best metal band out there. I guess all of us here will agree with me. I’ve been following the band for almost five years now and still can’t get over the complex riffing, slam riffs, blast beats and heavy breakdown that only they can make.

But even before I’ve come to know about John Gallagher and his troop, I’m already a die-hard fan of metal music. I couldn’t live a day without listening to my collection of the best metal tracks.

Obviously, I’m not a fan of mellow music. I’d be the last person you’ll see listening to flutes, saxophones or pianos, or even musicals or classical music. Oh, don’t even expect me to visit YouTube channel on relaxing music, much less, checking out a piano review site like DigitalPianoJudge or any of its kind!  It might sound crazy, but at one time, I was averse to all these soft music.

Here’s one hardcore rock music fanatic!

My being a rock music fanatic has led me to many other equally fantastic bands. Along the way, I’ve come across quite a number of metal bands. Many of these bands are really great but only five really stands out (well, based on my standards.)

Here let’s take a look at my top five favorite metal bands. I’m sure you love them too!

Formed in 1981, this American thrash metal band is the best in its league. Perhaps, everyone in my circle loves the noise this band creates. I loved their original troop: James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Dave Mustaine and Ron McGovney.

If pop music has Michael Jackson for an icon, metal music has Metallica. No question about that!

Iron Maiden

I’ve come to love this band at an early age. It was among the first bands that my ear got to appreciate. Their solid hits like the Number of the Beast and The Trooper are just two of the many tracks I never tire of listening to.

I find this band rather underrated considering the intensity and quality of music that they have giving us. A friend of mine actually don’t like Megadeth and I don’t really understand why. But there are also a lot of fans that love the music of Megadeth.

The crowded rock scene of the 1990 brought out some of the best bands. But while some of the heavy metal bands struggled to keep their following, Pantera was able to keep it cool and even enjoy a tremendous following. I, myself, love the sheer charisma and vocal prowess of Phillip Anselmo and the guitar skills of Dimbebag Darrell.

System of a Down

I wouldn’t forgive myself if I don’t include System of a Down. Perhaps the most unlikely in the crowded mainstream metal music industry, this band has certainly given the 21st century some of the most infectious metal tracks. Their second album even drew more following to the group’s unique charisma.

You might want to disagree but these are the top five metal bands I love. Did I miss out on your fave metal band?
